March 28th, 2008 · No Comments

Change a Life Change a Life Red Cross Chorus: Change a Life Change a Life Red Cross Awards

This session is full of stories about lives saved, comfort given, and thanks offered by those who have personally experienced it.

We are all connected.

Red Cross heroes are all around us. How many do you know?

HEALTH & SAFETY
First Aid, CPR and AED training continue to be an important way of changing lives.
Matt Leinart video: I’m honored to be a part of this. Red Cross encourages at least one person in each home to learn CPR and that’s what I’ve done.

IT TAKES TWO
Anyone can change a life. Don’t have to be a member of the NFL. We give and we receive. To change a life is a two way street. We depend on each other to complete the connection. To change a life it takes two (show It Takes Two PSA).

INTERNATIONAL SERVICES
Pat West: To change a life is often a joyful event, but some of life’s changes are born of tradegy. Tsunami video shown. The children who experienced the tsunami still bear the scars. Some are still afraid to go near the water. In the 3 years since the event, the American Red Cross has helped reconstruct homes, restore clean water, and reunite families. (slideshow of children’s photos)

DISASTER RESPONSE
Home fires do not grab headlines or bring in large donations but are stories that change the lives of over 70,000 families every year. (video of personal stories from home fire response).

* Got called away to handle something in the middle of this one. Hoping someone else will be able to fill in the details for those of you not able to attend.
