American Red Cross featured in Rascal Flatts Video
We’re feeling like rock stars today because, well, we are.
The American Red Cross is prominently featured in the Rascal Flatts’ newest video for their song Every Day. You can even watch the video by visiting RCO (remember, that’s what we call our redcross.org web site).
The band called us up a couple of months ago and asked if they could depict a scene where Red Cross volunteers are responding to a disaster in an effort to show how people support one another every day. We sent some vests and even an Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) over to the set, and a video was born!
The Rascal Flatts have been huge supporters of the American Red Cross since 2004, so it makes perfect sense that they’d write a song about helping people.
{plug} In fact, Rascal Flatts will be the 2008 recipient of the Academy of Country Music/The Home Depot® Humanitarian Award, to be presented during the 43rd Annual Academy Of Country Music Awards broadcast Live from Las Vegas on Sunday, May 18, 2008 on CBS Television Network. {end plug}
Congratulations to the band on the release of their new video and their humanitarian award.
Thank you for being on our Celebrity Cabinet and for including us in your video.

OK, I’ll admit it, I cried. That was just too cool. I lot a faces came flashing back in that one short vignette.

Rascal Flatts? That’s cool. Even better? We were in South Park on not one, but two, episodes! Right on Red Cross.
