Earlier this week we caught up with Arizona Cardinals Quarterback and Red Cross Celebrity Cabinet Member Matt Leinart at training camp to answer a couple of questions about training and CPR:
What is your personal experience with CPR and AED?
I have fortunately never had to use CPR on anyone. However, I had the opportunity to take an extensive two day course in CPR and AED this year. This course enabled me to feel comfortable in any situation I am presented with as a father, teammate and citizen of this country.
Why do you think learning CPR and AED is so important?
It’s important for everyone to be prepared for any situation. It is simple, learning CPR and AED can save lives.
Why did you choose to be a member of the American Red Cross Celebrity Cabinet?
I chose to be a member of this cabinet because the Red Cross is an esteemed organization that positively affects not only this country, but the world.
Which of your opponents is most likely to need CPR/AED this season?
Well I hope no one gets so hurt to need CPR or AED this season. All I can hope for is good competition.
You’ll remember that back in March 08 Matt trained lots of adoring NFL Network staffers in CPR.
He also showed the world how worthwhile learning CPR can be in a demonstration training:
Now it’s your turn. Sign up for a class today.
