I heard an astounding statistic the other day. 1 in 10 soldiers world-wide are under 18 years old. There are children in our world who witness violence and participate in violence every day. Sometimes in my little bubble, I just don’t imagine that this is possible.
Jimmie Briggs has been meeting with these child soldiers and telling their stories. He has been in town this week educating us, at the Red Cross, about these children and making us aware of the problems that they face. He is not asking for money or kudos. All he wants is for people to be aware that there are children in this world who are trained to kill.
