Maps: Recent Multi Family Fires Across the US

Who here knows where the Northern Mariana Islands are?
I’ll admit I couldn’t wait to Google Map it as soon as I got out of the meeting where they were mentioned this morning. Turns out they’re just to the north of Guam (also part of the Mariana Islands), they’re part of the United States, and they have an American Red Cross Chapter there!
The chapter has been responding to an unusual and massive apartment fire that affected more than 75 people on July 9.
That got us talking about all the other large multi-family fires the Red Cross has responded to in the past couple of weeks – it’s a rather shocking amount.
Even though it’s not winter yet and most people probably aren’t using heat right now, we still need to be vigilant and prepared for a house fire.
