Every morning we scour blogs, Facebook, Flickr, YouTube, Twitter and the like to see what you’re saying about the Red Cross.
Vain? Stalkerish? Maybe a little, but we have good intentions (promise!) - there is wisdom in crowds and you’re helping to make us a better organization by conversing with us online.
Now we want to share some of our favorite recent mentions with you.
If, after this, you’re wondering how you can see MORE mentions of the Red Cross, just click that American Red Cross on Del.icio.us button to your left there.
Without further ado:
mtsofan is a Red Cross volunteer and regular Flickr commenter. Thanks!

Daniel Singletary is shaved his head for the Red Cross
I have chosen David Langenberg to shave his head for charity. I shaved mine for a $50 donation to the American Red Cross.
Wabi-Sabi is a blood donor
just donated a pint of blood. Giving blood always reminds me of my grandma who was a long-time Red Cross volunteer.
Glamma Fabulous (aka Kelley Smith) got prepared
It is just smart to have the stuff ready. I got a list of what to bring from this site, and here is a list from the Red Cross.
Philanthropy 2173 wonders about charitable recommendation engines
Is there such a thing as a philanthropic phenotype? […] leads to me to wonder about philanthropy, recommendations/advisors, and where we get the information that guides our choices. I know, even as I write this, that someone out there is either building or thinking about building an “Amazon-style” recommendation service that draws from the Guidestar database -”People who gave to the Red Cross also gave to WritersCorps.”
