Red Cross in the Tabloids
Might be time for the Red Cross to get a bodyguard and some disguising sunglasses to shield itself from all this tabloid attention.
We were mentioned in both OK! Magazine and on Perez Hilton in the same week. UPDATE: And in People, along with countless other outlets.

OK! Magazine did a spread about Lis Rohm’s involvement in our Dog Days of Summer campaign (you can still enter your dog to win a free Dog First Aid book):

Elisabeth wants her golden retriever Homer to be part of the ceremony. The actress is a national celebrity cabinet member for American Red Cross campaign Dog Days of Summer, which promotes pet safety.

Perez Hilton gave Taylor Swift a big shout out and a “You Go Girl” graffiti nod for donating $100,000 to the Cedar Rapids, IA chapter:

Her heart is as golden as her hair! Country star Taylor Swift has announced that she’s donating $100,000 to the Cedar Rapids, Iowa branch of the Red Cross. Two months ago, Cedar Rapids suffered millions of dollars in damages and thousands of job losses at the hands of what is called “Iowa’s Katrina”. Torrential rains caused the Cedar River to swell and submerge the town. A source close to the singer said, “Taylor was going to cancel the concert, thinking few people could attend, but the mayor of Cedar Rapids asked her to carry on.” Swift says, “The people in this town have been through so much loss this year, and my heart goes out to them. They’ve stood by me, they gave me a sold-out show. You’ve got to pay it forward in life – that’s all I did in Cedar Rapids.” Well done!
