Posted on October 10th, 2008 by Wendy Harman

We use Twitter to distribute public information and engage with our online peeps, but lots of people tweet about the Red Cross every day on their own. These tweets are usually full of good info about the Red Cross, but lots of them also make me chuckle.
Here are this week’s Chirps of Fame:
- cgcotton: Soccer field is swarming with mosquitos. No blood left for red cross
- Seedstar: Developed the Red Cross Communications Dept secret handshake in vertical response training today…prepare to be awed! Tomorrow. Evening. [hope I get to learn it]
- Adam_Mahle: The Red Cross nurse was talking about the vampire novels she was reading… I asked her why she had to read about vampires when she was one.
- ZingQueen: Yum! Red Cross really out-did themselves! Today’s chili pasta is tasty & hot! But this is the third time in three days I’ve had green beans. [Hurricane Ike client]
- RW Project: DAT’s what’s up!: I am now an official Disaster Action Team (DAT) member with the American Red Cross of.. http://tinyurl.com/47v5qs
- Aisha Dyan: Hmmm…according to my new Red Cross donor card, I’m rockin’ an AB-neg blood type. Which means I’m cooler than 99.4% of you. No biggie.
- dgmontalvo: da crazy loud thunder directly ova da hizzy is CRUNCHY & CRACKLY; wifey just pulled out tha crank red cross radio!
Thanks everyone! Keep em coming.
