Drumroll, please.

Yesterday here at headquarters, the inaugural American Red Cross Humanitarian Award was bestowed upon Younis Al-Khatib (President, Palestine Red Crescent Society) and Noam Yifrach (Chairman of the Executive Committee, Magen David Adom in Israel) for the historic work they have accomplished in establishing a formal, ongoing collaboration which has resulted in a more thoroughly integrated humanitarian response to the needs of Palestinians and Israelis.

Today, the two leaders will embark on a US tour of sorts, visiting NYC, Detroit, and Los Angeles (NYC and Detroit are invitation only events, so contact the local chapters there to inquire about attending; the two events in LA are open to the public):
