Help Fund American Red Cross Youth Programs for Free!

Yesterday began the voting period of a 3 month long contest between four worthy charities.

Best Buy has graciously chosen the American Red Cross of one of these four charities to be able to receive a portion $250,000!  The amount of money each charity receives is correlated to how many points are donated to each cause.  This is where you, your families, your neighbors and your co-workers can help.

We need youth ages 13-18 to sign onto www.at15.com, register a profile (takes no more than 2 minutes), and donate your points to the American Red Cross!  The funds raised will benefit American Red Cross Youth initiatives in the field.  After your initial donation you can get more points by being active on the site and donating those too.  How much easier can it get!?

    My name is Emily Yancey, and I have been accepted to be a Student Ambassador by the People to People foundation. The People to People foundation was founded by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956. Its mission was to promote world peace through increased understanding between the citizens of the world. This is a program that allows me to explore different countries and their cultures. It can also help me understand their countries history. On this twenty day journey we will be traveling to: England, France, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, and Switzerland.
    While we travel on this journey we will stay at host families and learn about their cultures while they learn about ours. We will go to the Ann Frank house. We will also visit The Beaches of Normandy. We will go many other places on our journey. This will allow me not only to read about these places in a book, but to actually see and experience the events that took place there.
    This program can help me earn credits for high school and college. It will also allow me to receive grants or scholarships to help me through my college years, and better my chances for a successful career.
    I am requesting your help by asking you to help sponsor me on this once and a lifetime opportunity to represent our community to other regions of the world.
