Babysitter Boot Camp

The Chicago Red Cross chapter recently held a babysitter boot camp for young entrepreneurs interested in providing safe child care.

Are you a Red Cross certified babysitter? Does your official certification help you get jobs? Are you a parent looking for a knowledgeable sitter?

We love to hear stories like this:

Husband & wife time!
Yesterday Dan and I were able to get some time out.. ALONE! Our new neighbors’ son is registered to watch children through the red cross babysitting program, so i hired him! It’s was the first time I have left all 4 kids in a long time, and the only person who has ever watched all 4 of my kids is Sheri. She has 4 of her own, she knows what to do so I never worry. I wrote up a note of ‘dos’ and ‘donts’ for him. Ordered them pizza and off we went. We went to dinner at Red lobster. It was so odd! […] After our time was up, we came home. The house was quiet… now that is scary when you have 4 kids. We came in to the kids at the table coloring. They were washed up from dinner and there was no fighting. The house was also clean! That was the best money i have ever spent on a sitter LOL!
