What We’re Reading: How Different Groups Spend Their Day

The NYTimes has an amazing interactive graph about how different segments of our population spend their days.

My computer is acting funny, but I don’t see any big chunks of time being spent volunteering. Do you?

How do you spend your day? Do you have time to volunteer?

Call your local chapter today to ask how you might help. The United We Serve initiative is ongoing so all of our chapters have opportunities for you.

  1. I work for at least four hours every Wednesday at the Greater Long Beach chapter. I respond to inquiries from VolunteerMatch.com, a recruiting tool used by our chapter, and I answer phones while the receptionist is at lunch. I also work or help supervise the RCN when it is activated. What a great place to work, and such fabulous people to work with!

I am a regular blood donor. It’s great! Where else do they make you sit down, eat cookies, and drink juice before you can leave?

  2. Thanks Mary!
