Holiday Mail for Heroes Veterans Day Kickoff Event
Posted on November 12th, 2009 by Wendy Harman
You can join in the fun – find out how to send in a holiday card for a hero. You can also do more than send a card this season by picking out an inspired gift from our Holiday Catalog.

I’ve posted in on my facebook account to get the word out.
I would just like to thank all the troops around the world who are protecting this great nations freedom. You have no idea how much your work means to us. You are Americas heroes and always will be. I look forwrd to joining the Military when I turn eighteen. Thank you again so much. God Bless you all and God Bless America.
I saw your program in FOX, but I couldn’t catch the address where to send the cards. I am an artist and want to make several. When is the deadline?

Good Morning. For well over the past 30 plus years I have been urging people and groups to send Christmas cards to all of our veterans that are patients/residents in the V.A. hospitals and nursing homes. I got this idea when I was a patient myself back in the 1970s close to Christmas. I made a promise with The Good Lord that if He would allow me to go home before Christmas that I wanted to do something to remember all of the men and women that are patients/residents of these V.A. medical facilities. And that is where and when I came up with the idea of the Christmas cards which is my annual project for our veterans. Thank you. God Bless. Happy Thanksgiving. Merry Christmas. Rick Kelley.
