I would like to know if any groups will be leaving Greensboro, NC or the surrounding area to go to Haiti for relief efforts. I have done donated money but would like to do more. Please let me know if any civillians are being allowed into the country to help.

I truly want to go to Haiti to help and to volunteer. Are there any groups flying out that I can contact? If anyone knows anything, please contact me. I am a 26 year old female with basic medical knowledge. I am willing to do whatever is needed or whatever I can to be given an opportunity to do volunteer work. Please contact me. Thank you.

SOS, SOS, SOS for the city of Petit Goave located 25 miles southwest of Port au Prince. The population is in great need of drinking water, medical supplies, doctors, food, etc. Their water source is contaminated. They desperately need a water purification system.

I went through the deployment training for Katrina and was never deployed. Now with Haiti I wish to be deployed to help. I'm traveled, speak the languages and am strong and able. Not sure why that isn't an option. There also seems to be no mechanism for young men to devote their time and strength to this emergency. It seems like it should be possible. I understand the airport is not an option but there are so many way to get there. Please tell me why this is not better organized to accommodate these resources. One of the great things about the economic downturn in the US is you have educated, able men and women who aren't working and can spend time assisting there. This resource is a tragedy not to be utilized.

Hi,

As a small local business entrepreneur, selling Camping and Survival gear via the internet and shipping all over the continental US, I decided to help out in this major disaster relief project,

In the past few years we had two unfortunate natural disasters in the world that was an opportunity for us to help others in their most desperate times. At both, the Katrina Hurricane and Tsunami in Asia, we collected our resources and our own inventory and we were able to supply thousands of Cots, Sleeping bags, blankets and even Tents that they used as temporary houses, and we also provided survival kits that included Mess Kits (little pots and Cups, plates for outdoor or temporary cooking) Little lamps, candles and Matches, etc. and Hygiene Kits,

We currently have approximately 15,500 cots available for immediate shipment, and the same amount of Blankets or more, as we were unsuccessful in the past to find or get hold of any of these direct contacts who do the purchasing for FEMA or the Red Cross we are asking for your help.
Whatever items we have available we give away at our cost just to help out these desperate people in their need,

You can contact us 24 hours a day by email at http://www.campingstation.com/contact_us.php

Thanks

To Richard Sajous and the American Red Cross

Do you have any further/more recent news about Maison des Anges? We are in the process of adopting a baby girl from there and are very worried about her and the carers at the orphanage.

Can anyone update us whether food and water have got through to our little angels? Like everyone, we are so worried and have no idea how to help apart from giving money.
