Winter Storm: Send us your photos

Here at National Headquarters in Washington, DC, we shattered the all-time record for snowiest winter yesterday afternoon. The long-held record was set in 1899.

Of course the storm and cold weather aren’t affecting just DC. We had 32 shelters open last night in Florida, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia.

We’d love to see your snow photos. Just add them to our Flickr pool.

We want you to have fun and stay safe during this unusual winter. Please check out our winter storm tip sheet [pdf].

  2. Just added a few photos from the Regional Disaster Coordination Center, where we’ve been coordination shelter operations and support to emergency managment for the seven jurisdictions covered by the American Red Cross in the National Capital Region.

Scaling down the operations now — what a week!
