  1. I would like to help. do you have flights thats going out?

  2. When will communication be available, I need to get in touch with a loved one.

  3. I WOULD LIKE TO HELP OUT. I HAVE COLLECTED CLOTHES, SHOES, BLANKETS AND MEDICAL SUPPLIES WHERE CAN I GO SO THAT THE PEOPLE OF HAITI WILL RECEIVE THESE ITEMS?

  4. To Whom It May Concern

    The following orphanage

    Maison Des Anges
    21 Rue Clercine
    2000 Tabarre, Port-au-Prince, Haiti
    Phone # 2511 0383
    Phone # 2511 8117

has been damaged significantly by the earthquake. The children survived. However, lack of food and water are threatening the life of the children again. In the orphanage, there are about 80 babies between ages of 0 and 2 years. If you can provide any of these basic necessities, you will probably save some of these children since the orphanage is out of food and water. There will be people at the orphanage to receive any supplies. If you prefer to call to arrange a pickup, that will be OK.

    May God Bless You

    Sincerely

    Richard Sajous

  5. The United Methodist Relief efforts and others are on the ground in Haiti. They have called and emailed back to me. I have especially asked them to locate the Haitian School for the Deaf in Port of Prince.

I have no exact address. The deaf can not hear the search dogs or reply to their search calls. They said that so far they had NO info on ANY deaf there yet.
Pray and Contact people or please do what ever you canto locate and send help

I am a religious interpreter and work at a Deaf School here in Philadelphia. Trained by the Red Cross, especially in Psychological first aid and I know relief efforts are hard for all.

Please let me know if you get this email and anything I can do to assist or help. God Bless you, those helping in any way and especially the Haitian population.

    Thank you for your Attention

  9. Dear American Red Cross,

Wouldn’t it be a great idea to send the unused FEMA trailers/ MEMA Cottages to the people of Haiti? There is an abundance of them left in huge lots all over the country.
For example, off interstate 59-Purvis Exit- Purvis, MS, there are a large number of unused FEMA trailers sitting there unused. I understand the immediate response is food/water/medical. But just as a thought, since there are millions of FEMA trailers sitting unused, let’s get those to the people of Haiti, so that they don’t have to wait long periods for shelter, and go thru the red-tape, to obtain shelter. What a great way for America to help.

    Thanks for listening. My thoughts.

  10. We would like to get our wind /solar Mobile power stations to you to help Haiti, to provide power, water pumps, and refridgeration, as well as power tools to areas without power, And we are trying to figure out a way to get funding to do this. Please contact me at 607-563-3144 to figure out how we can do this as soon as possible to help those people, as well as people all over the world.

  11. I would like to assist/volunteer in helping Haiti during this disaster. Please contact me if you need my assistance. I have expertise in community planning, relocation and housing. I work for largest housing agency in NYC.

  12. I live on st. Thomas in the US virgin islands our senior class would like to host a community donation drive for those in Haiti the only problem is our private catholic school does not have the funds to get a plane to deliver the supplies. Is there a way an airplane can be sent down for free considering it is going to be filled with donations of supplies for this in Haiti ?

  13. The red cross is and the people who respond to every kind of disaster in the world are the finest of the human race. As to the disaster in Hati where can I make an online donation? I don’t do texting. Thank you

  14. My wife and I are flying out to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic tomorrow night on a planned vacation. We are not checking in luggage, but have the right to check in two bags if we chose to do so. I thought that it would be a good idea to use this opportunity to pack two bags with donations for Haiti and give them to the Red Cross in the DR to take over the border to Haiti. What should I take? bandages? Medicine? Dry Foods? Is this even a good idea?

  15. Haiti will need long term involvement and I am willing to relocate their or become one of your diaster team members.. Construction background. Whow do I need to contact ?

  16. I am a Certified Medical Assistant and have been for approx 6 years. I don’t know what I can do to help, but I can volunteer my time to go and help the victims of the Haiti Earthquake.

    Thank you,
    Laura

  22. So many people want to help but we do not want to get scammed. What tips can you provide for those who truly are concerned but do to the insensative crooks, people are afraid to put their information on the line.

  23. I WANTED TO FLY OVER TO HAITI ALSO BUT ON THE WEBSITE IT SAYS THAT THEY ARE NOT FLYING OUT PPL TO HAITI AND TO JUST DONATE. I REALLY WANT TO GO THOUGH.

  24. I am a medical student. It would be nice to know HOW we can volunteer! There seems to be no stream-lined mechanism available. If there is something I’m overlooking please let me know.

  25. I’m a nurse how can I help, I’m willing to travel to haiti. I speak the language. There must be a need for someone with my expertise. Please respond

  26. i dont have money to donate to the Haiti earthquake disaster but i would like to donate clothes , where can i take them to be sent to the people in Haiti.

  27. I agree with the idea of giving the FEMA trailers to Haiti. People need shelter too.

  28. I FIND IT VERY FRUSTRATING THAT SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE EXPRESSED DESIRE TO VOLUNTEER IN HAITI AND CANNOT SEEM TO FIND PORTALS TO HELP. I AM EXPERIENCED ER RN WITH MASS CASUALTY EXPERIENCE IN U.S. ARMY AND CAN’T SEEM TO FIND A WAY TO GET INFO ABOUT GETTING T O HAITI STAT TO LEND SERVICES. MANY SITES REQUIRE TRAININGPRIOR TO DEPOLYMENT. I THINK THE HAITIAN PEOPLE WOULD TAKE ME NOW TO LEND A HAND. PLEASES IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO GET THROUGHT ALL THIS RED TAPE PLEASE POST.
    THANK YOU

  29. I like the idea of giving FEMA trailers to Haiti but how would you get them there? Wouldn’t it be better to sell these trailers to those in the States. At the moment it would be quicker to provide housing that can be assembled on site. Perhaps the US Military can provide this as well as other organisations who specialize in this. Thanks for all that is being done by so many. I found it easy to give $10 by texting “haiti” to 90999 and of course at the web site redcross.org. I did both to ensure funds will arrive as quickly as possible. Blessings,

  30. Has anyone looked into this company and its product called COPTERBOX?

    http://www.dropmaster.com

It seems that this is a solution that would bypass the problem of the bottleneck at the airport and the impassable roads. It has been tested by the US Military for resupply of Troops in area where they can not land a helicopter. This is the type of aggressive response that will save lives NOW. Please Pass this on so that SOMEONE can get their aid on the Ground and save lives Today.
    Good Luck

  31. To Richard Sajous and the American Red Cross

Do you have any further/more recent news about Maison des Anges? We are in the process of adopting a baby girl from there and are very worried about her and the carers at the orphanage.

Can anyone update us whether food and water have got through to our little angels? Like everyone, we are so worried and have no idea how to help apart from giving money.

  32. Hi,

As a small local business entrepreneur, selling Camping and Survival gear via the internet and shipping all over the continental US, I decided to help out in this major disaster relief project,

In the past few years we had two unfortunate natural disasters in the world that was an opportunity for us to help others in their most desperate times. At both, the Katrina Hurricane and Tsunami in Asia, we collected our resources and our own inventory and we were able to supply thousands of Cots, Sleeping bags, blankets and even Tents that they used as temporary houses, and we also provided survival kits that included Mess Kits (little pots and Cups, plates for outdoor or temporary cooking) Little lamps, candles and Matches, etc. and Hygiene Kits,

We currently have approximately 15,500 cots available for immediate shipment, and the same amount of Blankets or more, as we were unsuccessful in the past to find or get hold of any of these direct contacts who do the purchasing for FEMA or the Red Cross we are asking for your help.
Whatever items we have available we give away at our cost just to help out these desperate people in their need,

You can contact us 24 hours a day by email at http://www.campingstation.com/contact_us.php

    Thanks

  33. I went through the deployment training for Katrina and was never deployed. Now with Haiti I wish to be deployed to help. I’m traveled, speak the languages and am strong and able. Not sure why that isn’t an option. There also seems to be no mechanism for young men to devote their time and strength to this emergency. It seems like it should be possible. I understand the airport is not an option but there are so many way to get there. Please tell me why this is not better organized to accommodate these resources. One of the great things about the economic downturn in the US is you have educated, able men and women who aren’t working and can spend time assisting there. This resource is a tragedy not to be utilized.

  34. Maison Des Anges
is the orphanage I adopted my son from. Trying to find out if Gladys and Leslie are there. I want to help as soon as it’s possible.
