Phrases We Owe to Red Cross

A few weeks ago I ran across this Tumblr that shares some everyday phrases we owe to Shakespeare:

Which got me to thinking, “We’re no Shakespeare, but we sure have a lot of weird terms and acronyms. I wonder how many phrases might we owe to the Red Cross?”
