Sure we’ve already seen 8/9/20 and 9/02/10 fly by us this year on the calendar, but we can still look forward to 10/10/10 in about a month.
To celebrate this numerical symmetry in our calendar, we’re participating in One Day on Earth and you can, too. It’s officially time to dust off your camera and your creativity and let the world know about your impact.

Our vital work is made possible by people like you, and this 10.10.10 we ask you to tell your Red Cross story. Tell the world about the impact you are making. Use THIS SIGN or create your own and label it with a word or two that tells the world who you are by impacting the world with the Red Cross. Footage that you create will potentially be used in a feature film, as well as a short film created specifically for the Red Cross, and will live in perpetuity in One Day on Earth’s global archive.
Guidelines
- Identify a word or two that is a description of how you define your impact within the Red Cross. For example: Blood, Support, Relief, etc. Be creative!
- Write your impact word on a sign that you can hold while being filmed.
- Find a unique location that you have impacted and tell us your name and Impact word on video while holding the sign towards camera.
- Increase your impact by taking things further. Use the day to document, with video, how you support the Red Cross: giving blood, volunteering, working on the front lines. Show us your daily impact with the Red Cross, so that we can showcase it to the world.
- When you upload your video please be sure to tag it to the American Red Cross.
