Our chapters in the Virgin Islands and in Puerto Rico have already been busy responding to Irene as she crossed over them. They deployed Disaster Action Teams (DAT), staffed the local emergency operations centers, and provided human and material support to evacuation shelters.
On the mainland we’ll be watching Irene’s path closely and taking steps to be ready to respond should she make landfall.
