My name is Jalen Chow and I am a 7th grader from Brookline, Massachusetts. I am visiting the Red Cross. Before this trip, like most kids, I knew very little about the Red Cross. But this week, I get a chance to learn all about it. I plan on observing how blood is donated at one of the blood donor centers as well as visiting places such as the Disaster Operations Center, and going to Ashburn to observe the SAF Call Center. After learning about these various places I will write about them on the blog so that you can get an inside look at how many of these different facilities work. Stay tuned…
