This intrepid blood donor strapped himself into some skis in order to make it to the donation center to give blood! Bill Papineau, a local psychologist, had a couple hours between patients. He’d been hearing about the need for blood on the radio, so he clipped on his cross-country skis and made his way from his office to the Wichita Blood Donor Center, about five blocks away.
Blood supplies across the country are quite low right now because of the winter weather, so if you aren’t held back by the weather (like Bill), go make an appointment to give blood and help keep a supply on the shelves for patients who need it so badly. One donation can possibly help save up to three lives. That’s certainly worth braving the cold for!
