A little over two weeks ago, a post on this blog outlined six ways to tackle holiday shopping for your loved ones while simultaneously supporting the mission of the American Red Cross. (For additional information about the Red Cross holiday catalog, the Red Cross holiday gift guide on Pinterest, shopping through Amazon Smile , donation matches through PayPal, financial and/or volunteer time donations when purchasing or test driving a Mazda, and donating in Circle K stores, click here.)
And here in today’s post I’m going to outline a seventh way to do the same thing.
When was the last time you (virtually) popped in to the American Red Cross store? The online aisles are stocked with tools to help your family members and friends stay safe and live healthier lives, equipment and supplies to use while volunteering for the Red Cross, and even Red Cross apparel and accessories to show others in your community that you support the organization.
It’s not too late to order that First Aid Kit for Grandma Brenda, Emergency Radio for Uncle Tom, Scout Survival Kit for cousin David, or even the Classic Baseball Cap for yourself. (Sometimes I just go ahead and buy what I’d like my husband to give me for Christmas…)
Here are a few of my favorite items in the store this holiday season:
This LED Flat Flashlight w/ Magnet takes up less space in and adds less weight to your emergency preparedness kit than a traditional flashlight and batteries.
The FRX2 Eton Emergency Radio features solar, CD, or hand turbine powered rechargeable capabilities and can even charge a smart phone.
This SpareOne Emergency Phone is perfect for homes without a landline telephone…I had no idea these existed, but now that I do, my husband and I will purchase one immediately.
So that you can immediately take care of athletic-related injuries, keep a Sports First Aid Zip Kit in your gym bag and/or your child’s sports bag.
This Classic Tote in gray is stylish, versatile, roomy, and 50% off!
If I owned these red Classic Wellies I’d be wishing for rain every day. (I live in Texas though, so I kind of wish for rain every day anyway…)
And last but not least, you can never go wrong with a soft, comfortable Vintage Tee, available for both men and women.
The aisles are empty and there’s no waiting at the register – visit the Red Cross Store now!
