Donating blood isn’t painful or scary. I urge you all to make an appointment to donate, it’s hugely important as 1 in 3 people will need blood but only 1 in 30 currently give blood. I’ll be there, in the corner, donating platelets with a wry smile and disgusting sense of self entitlement. God help my friends and family if I ever get called up to donate bone marrow.
– Today I: donated blood for the first time [My Bloggable Day]
My baby was saved by blood donors. We were proud to host an American Red Cross blood drive in her honor on Monday. Here she is sitting in the tire of the truck that will carry the blood on to save someone else. Too cute not to share! 🙂
– Shared on our American Red Cross Facebook Page. We agree- too cute not to share!
I felt hardcore rocking my bandage and iodine covered arm at work and got a number of comments about those and my stickers. I typically give at the end of the day and go home, but this is a good way to spread the word about the importance and ease of blood donations.
– I did it for the cookie! [cooklaughmove]
If anyone’s looking to acquire a bag of my blood, one can be found in the bus outside my office that I REALLY hope belongs to Red Cross.
Thanks for the laugh, Brandon – we’re sure that your blood is safely in the hands of our trained workers!
